Gretawire: I know President Obama is very busy with Syria — but could he ask someone to answer this Bishop from the Nuba Mountain region of Sudan?

On her blog, Greta Van Susteran posted Bishop Andudu’s letter to President Obama along with this note:

As you know, I traveled to the Nuba Mountain region with Reverend Franklin Graham and Samaritan’s Purse. I saw the President Bashir’s air force bombers overhead looking to drop bombs on innocents, the people dying of malnutrition hiding in caves, bomb craters etc. I took pictures and have posted the pics here on GretaWire and so you, too, have seen it all…yes, you know it is happening.

I do not know the Bishop whose letter I post below, but everything he says in his letter I saw (and so have you via the posted pics here.)

Note the blue highlighted text below (and of course the red highlighted text.) I can’t speak for the President and his promises, but I can speak for myself: I will not forget the people of the Nuba Mountains which is why I post routinely here on GretaWire about the suffering. I am using my media platform to continuously put a spotlight on the suffering of innocent civilians hoping to draw the attention of those who are in a position to help. Note the people of the Nuba Mountain don’t want money from us nor our soldiers — but would love any pressure our government and other nations can put on President Bashir to just leave them alone so they can go about their lives. The Nuba Mountain parents don’t want to watch another child of theirs die in their arms from starvation. Starving to death is a horrible way to die and watching it is likewise very painful.

The situation in the Nuba Mountains is bleak….and there is so little (none?) world attention on this cruelty. I know President Obama is busy with Syria — but please don’t forget the people of the Nuba Mountains.
